UNL Extension Adobe Connect Recorded Programs for 2009
ENHANCING ADVOCACY SKILLS
Based on the interest at Fall Conference on working with policy makers and developing advocates, Alan Moeller Asst. Vice Chancellor for IANR, Ron Withem, Associate Vice President for & Director of Governmental Relations for Central Administration, and Nick Faustman Assistant to the Vice Pres. for University Affairs led the session. Topics covered include: what it takes to be a citizen advocate, strategies for developing citizen advocates, messages to share with decision makers, and an update on the status of the budget. Given the special session of the Legislature, this is a great time to enhance our skills.
